Counseling Services

Individual Counseling

Individual Counseling builds a unique and supportive relationship between a therapist and client that should promote insight, inspire hope, and foster empowerment.  A therapist considers biological, psychological, social, and cultural experiences that shape each client so that they can develop a deeper understanding of client concerns.  Finding a trusted therapist is a significant part of the healing process.  South Shore Counseling specializes in treating Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorders, Adjustment Disorders, Grief, LGBTQI issues, Fertility and Postpartum concerns, and Addiction.

Family and Couples Counseling

With a focus on trust, communication, openness, and respect, counseling guides clients toward more fulfillment and satisfaction with their loved ones.  This process can be dynamic and difficult for clients but with the help of a therapist, it should also be safe and rewarding.  As needed, your therapist may use role play or assign homework to complete between sessions.  At South Shore Counseling, we are skilled at working with both couples and families.

Consultation

In addition to providing psychotherapy, South Shore Counseling, LLC can consult with your business to address morale or harassment in the workplace.  We will work with schools for large or small group education seminars to address bullying, suicide prevention, and substance use.  Additionally, we may provide community workshops and participate in events that raise awareness for issues such as domestic abuse, the opiod crisis, and gender equality.  Ask about how we can consult with your team!
